La Jolla, Calif., May 1 (AP)—Baroness Margaret von Soosten, an international businesswoman who once married an heir to the Bayer aspirin fortune, thinking he was a garage mechanic, died today. She was 79 years old. In 1932 Baroness von Soosten and Edward Schweitzer were divorced after 14 years of marriage. She and a cousin later moved to La Jolla. Their estate, Falconhurst, has been a center of cultural and Charity efforts. The Von Soosten family was in service to kings of the German state of Hanover before her father moved to New York in the 19th century. The baroness became founder and a major stockholder in the Lily‐Tulip Cup Company. – NY Times
