Milun Mitrovic was a Serbian artist born on December 15, 1922 in Rujevica, Kingdom of SHS, and passed away on November 1, 2010.
He finished four-year high school in 1937, and graduated in 1943 in Aleksinac. From 1948 to 1951, he was a contributor to the Master Workshop of Professor Milo Milunovic, in which he studied wall techniques. He received a master’s degree in painting in the field of wall painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade in 1972.
He became a member of the Association of Visual Artists of Serbia (ULUS) in 1948 and in the same year he exhibited at the VII exhibition of ULUS. From 1951 he was a member of the “Independent” group, and from 1957 to 1958, “Group 57”. From 1963 to 1982 he was a professor of the Higher Pedagogical School. From 1976-1982. Associate Professor at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade (Film and Television Groups). He was a member of the Presidency of the Artists of Yugoslavia and a member of the International Association (INSE). He published a book from the theory of art, “Form and Design”.
